Plume (2005)

I sketched “Plume” while my then-girlfriend (and now-wife) was studying at Oxford, and I was listening to the magical voice of Rokia Traore. I tried to create a sensuous music for belly dancing, without actually being very familiar with the genre at the time.

CATEGORY Chamber music, multi-track viola music

Original instrumentation: multitrack violas.
Arrangements available:
— string quartet (plus optional bass)
— string trio
— three violas and bass
— string quartet, bass, two mandolins
— lead sheet (plus optional bass part)

Also available as a jazz “lead sheet”. Arrangements for other combinations may be commissioned upon request.
