“Central Asian Dances” was inspired by Bela Bartók’s classic “Romanian Folk Dances”, taking the idea of a crafting a medley of folk music into a suite that can be brought onto the concert stage. The folk melodies in “Central Asian Dances” come from Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and the Bukharian Jewish community.

“Central Asian Dances” is available in two arrangements:
1) String Trio (seen in the performance below)
2) String Quartet or String Orchestra (the bass part is an optional expansion).
