Composer and fadolínist Ljova (leader of Ljova and the Kontraband, a close collaborator of Yo-Yo Ma and the Silkroad Ensemble, Brooklyn Rider and others) returns to Barbès with a set woven from recently composed works for solo fadolín and new arrangements for string trio, featuring violinist Sabina Torosjan and cellist Valeriya Sholokhova. Heart-tugging melodies and globe-trotting grooves will bring joy and reflection in this genre-defying set.
