SUMMARY:The WHEE (WHere Else Ensemble) at The Interchurch Center
DESCRIPTION:This afternoon’s program by the WHEE (WHere Else Ensemble) brings together two pieces in new arrangements by Ljova – Mozart’s seminal Quintet in G minor\, originally written for the ensemble of two violins\, two violas and cello\, here reimagined as a quintet for clarinet and strings; and Albert Périlhou’s “Menuet No. 4”\, originally written for violin and cello and refashioned here for string quartet.  Featuring violinists Ross Snyder and Sabina Torosjan\, cellist Michael Nicolas\, clarinettist Sam Sadigursky and Ljova on viola. The trio in a way is a supergroup of highly sought-after musicians\, Ljova on the fadolín (6-string fiddle) and Taylor Bergren-Chrisman (double bass). Zisl Slepovitch will perform on the clarinet and piano.
