New Collaboration with Chinyakare Ensemble & San Francisco Symphony

Newly released — a collaboration between the San Francisco-based Zimbabwean music and dance collective Chinyakare Ensemble and the San Francisco Symphony, featuring arrangements by Ljova in collaboration with Chinyakare’s lead musician Russell Landers, available exclusively via SFS+, the Symphony’s new on-demand channel — the single show pass is $15 or subscribe to an entire season for $120.

We had a blast working on these open-form arrangements and I was lucky to monitor a rehearsal via video conference. The music is infectious and so full of vitality. I am grateful to Chinyakare for teaching me their music and traditions.
